Becky essay

The title of this book is called Becky and the wheels-and-brake-boys. The author of the book is James Berry. The story tells about a little girl who apparently wants to buy a bike for her own and just really wants to fit in. She is a credible character. She shows she is credible by what she feels, says, and does.
Becky is a credible character because she would like to fit in with all the other kids. For example, Becky says, “ I only want to be with Nat, Aldo, Jimmy, and Ben”. They all have bikes and she wants one too, so she can ride and play with them. This shows that Becky is a believable character because she just really wants to fit in and there is mostly a time where kids just want to fit in with other people.
Another way that Becky could actually be credible is by what she actually says in the story. Apparently Becky is begging her mom to get her a bike so she can ride with the wheels-and-brake-boys. For example, she tells her mother, “I still want a bike badly”. Becky wants a bike to ride with the-wheels-and-brake-boys but her mother won’t let her have one because she thinks that girls shouldn’t have bikes. In order to get what she wants Becky thinks she has to ask several times and give reasons why she wants it. Lots of kids always nag their parents on and on to get their desires. So there another way Becky is a credible character.
Finally another reason that Becky would be a credible character is because she always fought with her friend. Like when she fought with her friend after her friend apparently put a cockroach on her blouse and freaked out Becky. as an example Becky thinks, “ for the first time me and Shanette had a real fight because of what I hate most”. Apparently the fight cause because Becky had put a centipede down her shirt, so she got even by putting a cockroach in Becky’s blouse. This shows that Becky is a realistic character because many best friends fight but the they make up.
In conclusion, Becky, the main character in the story Becky and the-wheels-and-brake-boys is a believable character because of her emotions, her words, and her actions. That means that Becky is just your average young child. So becky is a credible character

Period 2/3
There are many things that make a character credible and one specific character is in a story called eleven by Sandra Ciscnero. It is about a little girl who on her birthday has a really bad day. And the character that could be a credible character is of course the main character Rachel. A few ways that make her credible is that she would sometimes get really angry, sad/depressed, and shy a couple of times. And these traits kind of make her a credible character. Let me tell you how these make her one.
One trait that makes her a credible character is that would sometimes get very angry. In the story Rachel on her birthday goes to school and her teacher would find a sweater that she wants to find out who it belongs to. Somebody in the classroom says it was hers which makes Rachel a little angry cause she knows it’s definitely not hers. She tries hard to tell the teacher that it’s definitely not hers but the teacher gives the sweater to her anyways which makes her really mad. The teacher would never understand.
Another way she could be credible is because she gets a little bit shy. As I said she got a sweater that wasn’t hers but she kind of didn’t have the guts to talk back and tell her it’s not hers. She eagerly wants to tell but she got a little bit too shy and just leaves the sweater on her desk and just ignores it.
The final way that Rachel could be a credible character is because that she be sad/depressed. She was sad that the teacher just wouldn’t listen to her and left the sweater thinking it was hers. She tries to ignore but the teacher just forces her to put it on. Rachel did not want to and tries to prevent tears to come out. But she gets so sad that she just cries and cries in front of everyone in the classroom.
So apparently these traits would kind of make Rachel a credible character in a few different ways. So think that these traits make her a credible character

Dear Mom,
I wanted to ask u permission if I am allowed to have a dog. I really want this dog badly and if I can’t convince you I’m going to have ask dad and he never agrees to mostly anything so mom please let me have a dog.
Mom I can really take care of a dog I just know it. I’ll try my hardest to have it be healthy and at least well trained. Also make sure it is perfectly healthy and not get sick or anything. Also make it sometimes do a few things in the house like get dad’s newspaper every morning.
Also sometimes we can have the dog go with grandma to take care of it and keep her company. I hear that dog sometimes just might let you live longer. Also when she’s a little sad or something it can make her happy. Also since grandma’s pretty old it an sometimes get her a few things when she needs it.
Mom if that hasn’t convinced you then I’ll definitely discipline the dog to make sure it doesn’t well chew up the sofa and everything. Won’t just bark at neighbors and make it behave around company. Also dogs might sometimes chew on people’s shoes and everything so I’ll definitely keep it away from those. Also if it goes to the bathroom in the house I’ll make sure it doesn’t at all.
Mom if that hasn’t convinced you then I’ll don’t know what will so please can I have your permission to get a dog. So please don’t make me ask dad for one.
